Colfax Marathon 2020 - UPDATED INFORMATION 4/02/2020

Over the past weeks, all of us have watched the severity of COVID-19 increase. We hope, like everyone, that the aggressive actions of sheltering in place and eliminating large gatherings will help all of us be safe.

We have been talking to the City of Denver and our partners on a daily basis to seek a safer date in 2020, as we have officially cancelled our race weekend of May 16-17. At this time, the City of Denver cannot finalize their process and timeline for the hundreds of impacted special events, so decisions will not be made until the end of April or later.

We know many of you are training, fundraising and planning with your teams. We do hope we can run in 2020, and that the COVID-19 precautionary measures have a great impact.

Upon determining if we can secure a 2020 date, we will communicate to runners and team captains their options.

We really appreciate your patience during this difficult time for all. This url ( will have the most recent update on information regarding our event.

Meet our 2020 National LIVEr Champions, Deb and Keith Tully

Deb and Keith Tully have run over 20 Boston Marathons® beginning in 2007 when Keith ran his first Marathon and Deb soon got the marathon bug.

Around that same time, as part a routine physical exam, Keith learned that his liver function tests were elevated.  He was diagnosed with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC), a rare autoimmune liver disease that currently has no cure and will ultimately require a liver transplant for survival.  It wasn’t long after that the Tully family found the American Liver Foundation’s Boston Marathon® Team, which provided an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for liver disease research and advocacy efforts.

The Tully Family, who together have raised more than $465,000, the ALF New England Division offers a community like no other full of people who have been touched in some way by liver disease, all focused on finding a cure, breaking the stigma and making a difference to patients and families living with liver disease.
