About 2027 Bank of America Boston Marathon
The Boston Athletic Association will celebrate the 131st running of the Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America on Monday, April 19, 2027. As the world’s oldest annual marathon and one of the original six Abbott World Marathon Majors, the Boston Marathon is one of the most prestigious road races in the world. Thousands of runners from across the globe earn their place on the starting line each year through qualifying performances and charity fundraising efforts.
About Our Team
The American Liver Foundation is proud to have been the first official charity partner of the Boston Marathon, a relationship that has empowered runners to turn their miles into meaningful impact for more than three decades. As a member of Team Liver Life Challenge, you’ll join a dedicated community of athletes, supporters, and advocates committed to improving the lives of those affected by liver disease.
Our team offers an engaged and enthusiastic Running Council made up of fellow team members who provide guidance and encouragement every step of the way. We also offer access to an experienced training coach, in-person training runs, team gatherings, race weekend events, and dedicated staff support to help you achieve both your running and fundraising goals.
Due to the limited number of charity entries available, priority consideration will be given to applicants who demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting the American Liver Foundation’s mission and can meet the minimum fundraising requirement of $12,000. Each runner is responsible for fulfilling this commitment without exception. As part of the application process, we ask all prospective team members to submit a detailed fundraising plan outlining the strategies and activities they will use to reach their goal.
